What is this page for?

If you are a visual person, this is the right page to check out! As it is often hard to picture home modifications, this page is for photos and videos to help us all "picture" what is possible. Please feel free to add your own photos, home videos, or You Tube videos.

Slideshow #1: New York Times

This link will route you to a slide show with 17 pictures. The first seven pictures relate to Cynthia Leibrock, a designer, consultant, and Harvard instructor. She equipped the Colorado home she shares with her husband with amenities designed to address their needs as they age. The last ten pictures are of Jean-Yves Prodel, who lives alone and uses a wheelchair. He has turned his house outside Paris into a model of universal design, incorporating many features that give him easy access throughout. This is a powerpoint on Universal Design developed by Edmonton architect, Ron Wickman. There is a combination of photos and information.

This is a link to a website called 'the travelling wheelchair', and this particular page has a series of pictures of an accessible home, as well as building tips! I encourage you to browse the site, as there are also resources for the disabled traveler, informative links and more!
